  • We do not accept postings that require a payment from job seekers
  • Please do not post the same position to every location on our site. If the job is home based, has a component that is home based or can be done at any location, please use the 'All Locations' field.
  • We only accept job postings, not ads for other employment services. Job fairs are accepted.
  • MLM, work-at-home schemes and other similar ads are not accepted. Legitimate home based jobs are accepted.
  • Positions for adult entertainment jobs will be accepted on a case by case basis. This site is intended for users 16 and up. Postings must be suitable for all ages.

If you find a job that does not meet our standards, please notify us immediately. LifestyleJobs.ca has the highest standards for the jobs that appear on our site. Every single ad is screened to ensure that job seekers are protected. Resume access is never provided to companies that we cannot verify their location to be in either Canada or the USA

What is Lifestyle Jobs?

LifestyleJobs.ca is Canada’s one-stop job board connecting employers with jobseekers looking for flexible, part-time, contract and tele-commute jobs. Employers can find high caliber, dedicated talent by offering flexibility and a commitment to work/life balance. Job Seekers can find employers that value commitment to creating a lifestyle that works.

How do I change my password, email address or remove my account?

When you are logged into your account, you may open your Account Details and make changes as necessary.

What are my username and password?

When you first registered with LifestyleJobs.ca, you received an email that included your username and password. If you have forgotten your password you may click the "Forgot Your Password" link on the home page and you will receive an email with instructions about your password.

How do I post my resume?

After you log into your Job Seeker account, click the Resume button to view and/or edit your resume. You may also upload a Word document into your posted resume; the document will appear as a link to employers who view your resume and they may click the link and open your Word document resume.

How do I register?

To register, click the Job Seeker "Register Now!" button on the home page.

How do I remove my resume?

You may deactivate your resume or activate your resume at any time.

How do I edit my resume?

To edit your resume, log into your account and click the Resume button to open the edit form. Save your revised resume after you edit the form.

How do I make my resume private?

You may select the option in your resume settings to "hide" private information, such as your name.

How do I attach my resume and apply to a job?

Most posted jobs will include an "Apply Now" button that opens an email cover letter to which you may attach your Word document resume. Some posted jobs instruct you to apply on the Employer company's website and have a link that opens the website.

How do I edit my cover letter?

You may keep a saved copy of your cover letter on your computer and copy/paste the cover letter text into your email cover letter when you apply to jobs from within your Lifestyle Jobs account.

Why am I not receiving my daily job emails?

It may be that you have not logged into your account in more than 30 days, or that the job posting filter that you set in your account has not been met by posted jobs. You also may have changed your email address and forgotten to change your contact email address in your Lifestyle Jobs account.

Where can I see my application history and Saved Jobs?

When you apply for a job, a copy of your application is saved in your account and a list of your applications may be opened and reviewed at any time. You may also save jobs that you review and open/review them at any time.

How do I unsubscribe from job posting email alerts?

You may log into your account and turn off the automatic job posting email alerts.

How do I block an employer from viewing my resume?

You may edit your resume and activate the blocking feature that hides your private information, as shown on your resume form.

How do I create a Job Alert?

To receive job alerts, log into your account and activate the job alert filter to select specific types of jobs. You will receive daily email alerts that include information about the types of jobs you identified in your job alert filter.

How do I change my Job Alert?

Log into your account and change the filter selection criteria for your daily email alerts.

How do I Search for Jobs?

You may search for jobs from the home page without logging into your account. Or, you may log into your account and search for jobs. The advantage of searching after you are logged in is that you may save jobs and/or apply for jobs from within your account.

How do I apply to jobs?

When you find a job for which you want to apply, click the "Apply Online" button or follow the directions that the Employer included in the job posting.

Can I search in a geographical area?

Yes, you may search within the locations listed in the job search box.

Can You Help Me Find a Job?

We can provide you a unique opportunity to search jobs within the employment sector you select. Although we cannot guarantee that you will find a job through Lifestyle Jobs, we can assure you that quality employers search our resume database daily and if you take the time to submit a complete resume in your account, the probability that your resume will be reviewed is relatively high. When you log into your account, the number of times your resume has been reviewed will be listed for you.

How can I get a copy of my Lifestyle Jobs resume?

You may highlight and copy your Lifestyle Jobs resume form into a Word document, and you may open the copy of your Word document resume if you uploaded the document into your resume on Lifestyle Jobs.

There is no contact information on this job. How am I supposed to apply?

If the "Apply Online" button is available in the job description, you may apply by clicking the button and completing the appliciation cover letter email. The employer will receive your cover letter and application.

Why haven't employers contacted me after I sent them my application and resume?

Employers generally will acknowledge receipt of your application as soon as possible. However, in some cases when large numbers of applications are received, the employer will need sufficient time to acknowledge receipt of your application or contact you about the advertised position. You may open any application from your saved list of applications and resend the application with a different cover letter.

Does LifestyleJobs.ca monitor the site to keep scams and fraud jobs from appearing?

Yes, we monitor the jobs that are posted and block/remove "employers" who may try to scam job seekers. We have the ability to block employers' IP addresses if we find they are trying to defraud job seekers on Lifestyle Jobs.

How do I navigate LifestyleJobs.ca?

There are two levels of navigation and menus in Lifestyle Jobs. The public menu is available at the top of each page on our website and may be used without registering or logging into an account. The private menu is available to job seekers and employers after they log into their Lifestyle Jobs accounts. These private menus contain links to information and features that are not available to the public.

Why did I get an "email undeliverable" or "fail?"

Most likely, an employer changed his/her email address and failed to change the email address in his/her Lifestyle Jobs account.

How do I change the content of my resume?

After you log into your account, you may click the Resume menu button and then select the "Edit" link to open and change the content of your resume.

Can I still apply to expired jobs?

After jobs expire, they are automatically removed from the list of current job posting that are available to job seekers. Employers may delete or suspend their job postings at any time.

Does my resume get posted automatically when I apply for a job?

No. You must create your resume by completing the resume form after you log into your account in order for it to be available to employers as they search our resume database. When you apply for a job, your resume can be opened and reviewed by the employer who receives your application.

Do I have to be registered with LifestyleJobs.ca to apply for jobs?

If you are not registered with Lifestyle Jobs, you will be able to open the job description provided by the employer who posted the job. However, you will not be able to apply online through Lifestyle Jobs. You will need to contact the employer directly using the contact information the employer may have posting in the job description.

Can I have two users under one registration?

Only one job seeker may be registered in an Lifestyle Jobs account. We remove job seekers from our system if they abuse their account privileges, as described in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Can I search for International jobs on Lifestyle Jobs?

Yes, we have employers throughout the world who post jobs on Lifestyle Jobs. You may search for international jobs in "Location" in our job search box.

How do I delete my account?

If you want to delete your account from our system, rather than suspending your resume, you need to contact us via email and request in writing that we delete your account from our system.

I received a scam email. What should I do?

If you recieved a scam email from an employer registered on Lifestyle Jobs, please notify us using our Contact Us form and we will investigate and take appropriate action.

Why did I get an error message stating that "your session has timed out?"

To help ensure quality service to registered job seekers, our system will time you out if you log in and do not actively use features on Lifestyle Jobs after a reasonable amount of time that is set on our server. You may log back in if the system times out while you are doing other things over a lengthy period of time after logging into the system.

Why does my resume/cover letter get jumbled when I copy and paste it?

You should copy and paste your cover letter from a Word document or from a text document produced with another word processing software. If you include HTML or scripts that may be considered spam by our system, Lifestyle Jobs will strip those characters from your cover letter. To ensure that your cover letter is complete as you created it, use Word or a common text processing software to write your cover letter.

How Do I Sign In To My Account?

To sign into your account (after you have successfully registered) click the Job Seeker menu button and enter your ID and password.

 

How do I post a job?

After you log into your employer account, click the Posts menu button and select either the Standard job post or the Premium job post. The job posting form will open if you have purchased the appropriate credits for posting your job. If you need to purchase posting credits, you may purchase them from within your account. After you purchase the credits, you will be returned to your account page and may post your job.

How do I edit my job posted on Lifestyle Jobs?

After you log into your account, you may select the Posts button in the menu and open the Job Post Manager page. You may edit your posted job information or delete the job from your postings.

Why can't I post a job?

You will need to have purchased a sufficient number of posting credits in order to post your job. If you need to purchase posting credits, you may do so from within your account. After you purchase credits, you will be returned to your account where you may then post your job(s).

Where is my job information stored?

You job information is stored in our Lifestyle Jobs database and is listed in the jobs shown on our home page and that appear as search results if your job meets the selection criteria of job seekers. If you purchased premium job posting credits, your premium job posting will appear at the top of the list of job postings in the order in which it was posted among all other premium jobs.

How do I search the Resume Database?

When you purchase a resume access plan, you may log into your account and search our resume database.

How do I Save Resumes selected in my Resume Search?

When viewing a resume that you want to save, you may click the Save button and place the resume into your list of saved resumes. You may open your saved resumes at any time and you are able to contact the job seeker directly through your Lifestyle Jobs account.

Why can't I access the Resume Database?

You must purchase a resume subscription package in order to search our job seeker resume database.

How do I make my contact information private, so that it is unavailable for jobseekers to see on my posted job?

You may choose to include or exclude specific information about your company or you in your Company Profile. Also, when you post a job you may choose to direct the job seeker to your company URL for job applications, rather than applying online through Lifestyle Jobs.

What does "External Link" mean in the 'applications' sections?

You may direct the job seeker to your company website or another external link to apply for the job you have posted. You may specify the URL in the job posting form.

How does your Resume Database search engine work?

You may filter or select resumes by selecting specific search criteria from within the resume search box components. Only resumes that meet your selection criteria will be shown in your search results.

How do I Search the Resume Database?

When logged into your account, if you have purchased a resume search subscription package, you may click Resumes in your account menu and enter the search criteria in the resume search search box.

How do I create a Resume Search filter to automatically send qualified resumes to my email address?

When logged into your account, you may select the qualifications for daily resume email alerts from a resume search box. Only resumes that meet your criteria will be sent to you automatically via email each day.

Why am I not getting the resumes and applications that I expected out of my job posting?

It may be that you posted your job in the wrong job category, or your job description may lack the details that job seekers need to make a decision about whether to apply for the job. There may be other reasons, such as not posting the salary range or performance expectations.

How do I change my user information?

After logging into your account, select Account Details from the employer menu and change your information.

What products do I have available?

As a registered employer, you have access to our resume database, applications that are submitted by job seekers directly to you in your account, the ability to reply/contact applicants from within your account, posting standard and/or premium jobs, creating and editing a company profile that job seekers may review, and managing your posted jobs.

Do you offer a free preview to search the resumes in your database?

To search our resume database, you will need to register as an employer and purchase one of the resume subscription packages.
